Welcome to the Department of Electrical Engineering. The electrical engineering department is enriched with a well-equipped laboratory and classroom with projector facilities. Our faculty members are specialized in Power Electronics & Drives and Electrical Power Systems. As we know, electricity is an inevitable part of our lives. Nowadays, due to the depletion of fossil fuels and the increase in pollution, the world has started adopting renewable energy sources such as solar photovoltaic systems. Electrical vehicles are also starting due to the increase in the rate of fuel. Thus, the skills required are changing day by day for the engineers to fit in the industry. To match with the changed structure of power generation, the institute has two extraordinary centres namely the anchor institute of solar energy (AISE) and solar research and development laboratory (Solar R & D) where students will learn all the practical aspects of renewable energy sources. Department has a dynamic faculty member who is dynamic and always ready to help students with their overall development. To prepare students as per the demand of the industry, the institute has a Siemens centre of excellence. The centre is fully equipped with practical setups for hands-on training where the students can undergo additional courses such as PLC, SCADA, Process and Instrumentation, Low voltage switchgear free of cost. In addition, the institute has also started a minor degree in various topics such as Solar Energy Systems, 3 D Printing, and Next-Generation Smart Village where students will earn a minor degree in addition to an electrical engineering degree. The minor degree will help the students for a career in the industries which require the knowledge and practical skills of solar energy. With exposure to such great facilities, the students gain invaluable practical knowledge enabling them to meet the human talent requirements of the industry.
