Introduction to Minor Degree
The Civil Engineering Department of Gujarat Technological University - Institute of
Technology and Research (GTU-ITR) formerly known as GPERI is proud to introduce a
Minor Degree in "Computer Aided Civil Engineering Processes (CACEP)" form the academic
year 2024-25. This program is designed to align with the National Education Policy (NEP)
2020 and the guidelines set by Gujarat Technological University. The CACEP program aims
to equip students with essential skills in utilizing computer applications for various civil
engineering processes, enhancing their academic and professional prospects in the rapidly
evolving field of civil engineering.
Need & Future Scope
In today's digital age, the integration of technology in civil engineering is crucial for
improving efficiency, accuracy, and productivity. The CACEP Minor Degree addresses the
growing demand for professionals who are proficient in computer-aided design and project
management tools. Graduates of this program will be well-prepared to meet industry needs,
making them competitive candidates for various roles in civil engineering, including project
